Strategy and Authority for Manifestors: A Guide for Your Experiment

Human Design gives us a practical map for living as ourselves, but at the core of it all is one simple truth: if you live by your Strategy and Authority, life starts to flow with more ease and less resistance. For Manifestors, this looks different than for any other Type. If you are a Manifestor, your Strategy and Authority are the tools that help you move from frustration and anger into peace — the signature of your design.

In this post, we’ll explore what Strategy and Authority mean for Manifestors, how to work with them, and what conditioning often gets in the way.

Understanding Strategy

Your Strategy as a Manifestor is to Inform.

Manifestors are here to initiate. You don’t have to wait for an invitation like a Projector, or a response like a Generator. Your energy is built to get things moving. You are one of the only Types with the ability to start something entirely new, independent of others. But this power can also trigger resistance from the people around you.

That’s why informing is so important. Informing isn’t about asking permission. It’s about letting the people who will be impacted by your actions know what you are doing. When you inform, you create space for others to relax instead of reacting with resistance or trying to block you.

What informing looks like in practice:

  • Telling your partner you’re leaving the house to go for a walk, instead of just disappearing.
  • Letting your team know you’re starting a new project, instead of surprising them later.
  • Saying out loud, “I’m going to need quiet this afternoon to work on this,” instead of shutting the door without explanation.

The act of informing reduces friction and builds trust. It also supports your peace — because when others feel included, they are less likely to interfere.

Understanding Authority

If Strategy is about how you move through the world, Authority is about how you make decisions. Manifestors can have several different Authorities depending on their chart. Let’s look at the main ones:

Emotional Authority (Solar Plexus)

This is the most common Authority for Manifestors. If you have it, there is no truth in the now. You ride an emotional wave that moves between highs, lows, and neutral points. Clarity comes with time. Your job is to wait out the wave before acting on big decisions.

Splenic Authority

This is the quiet voice of intuition, an instant knowing. It’s not logical, and it doesn’t repeat itself. With Splenic Authority, your best practice is to listen for those subtle whispers in the moment and trust them.

Ego (Heart) Authority

This Authority is about willpower and desire. Decisions are correct when they come from what you truly want and are willing to commit to. It requires honesty about your motivations.

Putting Strategy and Authority Together

As a Manifestor, your process looks like this:

  1. Feel the urge. Manifestors get creative impulses or sudden urges to act.
  2. Check with Authority. Is this urge correct for you? If you are emotional, wait out the wave. If you are splenic, listen for intuition. If you are ego, ask if you truly want this.
  3. Inform. Once you have clarity, tell the people who will be impacted by your actions.
  4. Initiate. Take action and let your creative energy flow.

This sequence helps you act from alignment rather than conditioning.

Conditioning That Pulls Manifestors Off Track

Like all Types, Manifestors grow up in a world that conditions us to ignore our Strategy and Authority. Here are some common traps:

  • Suppression: Being told as children to slow down, ask permission, or not rock the boat. This teaches Manifestors to hide their impulses.
  • Rebellion: Swinging to the other side, refusing to inform and acting in secrecy, which creates resistance.
  • People-pleasing: Believing you must soften your power or constantly explain yourself. Informing is not the same as apologizing.
  • Impatience: Especially for Emotional Authorities, jumping into decisions without waiting out the wave.

Each of these pulls you away from peace and into anger — the not-self theme of a Manifestor.

How to Experiment

Strategy and Authority are not theories. They are practices. Here are some ways to begin your Manifestor experiment:

Daily Informing Practice

Pick one part of your day where you normally act without saying anything. Try informing someone who would be affected. Notice their reaction and how it feels in your body.

Authority Check-In

When an urge arises, pause. Ask:

  • Emotional: Where am I on my wave? High, low, or neutral?
  • Splenic: Did I feel a quiet yes/no in the moment?
  • Ego: Do I truly want this, or am I trying to prove myself?

Reflection Journal

At the end of the day, write down:

  • One thing I informed others about.
  • One decision I made with Authority.
  • How it felt compared to when I didn’t use Strategy and Authority.

Why It Matters

When Manifestors ignore their Strategy and Authority, life feels full of blocks, resistance, and anger. When they honor them, something profound happens: their actions become smoother, their energy feels lighter, and they start to experience peace.

This isn’t about becoming perfect overnight. It’s about testing, noticing, and learning. Each time you inform, you reduce resistance. Each time you follow your Authority, you strengthen trust in yourself. That is the experiment.

Closing Thought

As a Manifestor, you are here to bring new energy into the world. Strategy and Authority don’t limit your freedom — they give you the foundation to act with clarity and create from a place of peace. Inform, listen to your Authority, and let yourself initiate. Over time, you’ll see that the world softens around you, and the path of your design opens in front of you.
